Chris Priestley
Chris Priestley trained as an illustrator, working on The Economist and The Independent and many other publications before becoming a writer. In recent years, he has been best known as a writer of horror and the uncanny.
His award-winning Tales of Terror series are in the traditions of Edgar Allan Poe and M R James. Uncle Montague's Tales of Terror was a Booked Up book for 2010 and he did a World Book Day book in 2011. Mister Creecher was nomianted for the Carnegie Medal and was included in the Booktrust Classics 'Future Classics' Library Pack in 2013.
